I would suggest you to look into below suggested
new feature request, if possible.

New Feature Request:

Upon Hiding the Netmeter Graph Display and
subsequent SHOW DISPLAY of the Graph ...

The Already drawn graph shall be erased and
new graph shall start from the extreme right
with current (/average) speed.

The above will enable to present the user
the option to know the current max download
upon exercising of every hide and show command.
